Anyone remember the Deanne Carter album "Did I Shave My Legs for This" from country music's heyday AKA the 90s? (It's the one with Strawberry Wine on it.)
I find myself asking that question or one similar to it all the time. Let's say I watch a webinar or spend my valuable time reading an article or watching a new show. At the end, I'm like, "Did I REALLY just trade my time and get nothing in return?
Did I shave my legs for THIS??
Time is money! I learn this more and more every day. We need more of it, and it's so not okay when someone uses our time unfairly. Today, I look to add only the most valuable people and things into my life. I don't always nail this, but I'm learning how to pick and choose so that at the end of each day, I can say, "Wow, I actually moved the ball forward!"
We ALL have to show up every day (and some of us choose to do so with shaved legs). Why not make the most of each minute? After this day is gone, we ain't getting it back.
So, today, I commit to making each minute count.
If you want to talk through how to shortcut the authority building process with me, give me a call. All I do is create more time for my clients so they can pursue their passion and not be stuck behind a computer screen, staring at a blinking cursor.
Cheers,
Jen
